  • My work | My life | My art.

This is meant to be my journal. My personal platform. Random and for sure uncensored.
My love for photography began at a young age and pursuing it as a career became a dream. Today, I am working hard to fulfill that dream.
This blog is my very own story, documenting the struggles, the joys, the hopes and the flaws of my journey. It is also very personal at times, better be aware. :)
I‘d be happy to take you along on that journey called life.

this wedding was pretty much perfect. i have to say that right up front. the location, the details, the food, of course the couple – i could go on and on. oh, not to forget about the candy bar! YES! a candy bar! gotta love that!

steffi and i shared an apartment at the time steffi met sven. hence i can actually claim to have been there right from the start. we later moved in with the other steffi but that apartment with the green painted kitchen wall will always be connected to me enjoying my single life and the start of steffi and sven’s story. when sven proposed to steffi at niagara falls, thomas and i were also spending some days in nyc and almost met up with them one night in manhattan, so talk about being there from the start. ;)

steffi and sven’s wedding was a day of love and contribution by good friends. from one old room mate being the wedding photographer, to the other old room mate being the maid of honor to the groom’s old school friend being the wedding planner. can’t get any better, can it?

steffi and sven, thank you so much for letting me capture your wedding day! i hope you know that i truly appreciate it. i love it when clients value photography and thus see wedding photography as an investment in lifetime memories. hope there are more out there like you ;)

i met stefffi k (the first bride named steffi) during first week of university. we have been waiting in the hallway of co-106 to get into the seminar room. since you gotta make some friends at university (who else is gonna sign you up if you can’t be there or lets you copy during tests?) i decided to introduce myself to steffi because she seemed nice. and steffi k happened to sit next to steffi s. we became friends and have been ever since.

we also had pronunciation class together. that’s where david (the groom) enters this story. one day two guys started sitting in front of us every week. no matter where we sat in that huge lecture hall. david and robert (the best man) spent their major seminar time with playing ‘stadt-land-fluss’ (which seems to be ‘categories’ in english by the way). of course us girls knew everything better. :)

steffi and david managed university as well as their life together, even a semester apart from each other when nice stef (this one) and shy stef (the following bride) enjoyed australian university life. that’s where they got the nicknames by the way.

finally, after graduating david asked the question everyone was waiting for him to ask. and of course she said yes.

and their wedding day? so. much. fun. seriously.

those two rocked the day. and the dance floor. it was one heck of a party.

BIG congrats to kurze and david who decided to start their married life together down the street from where i grew up! love you even more for that. ;)

please friends, bare with me. i know it has been rather quiet around here. my life has been going anything but smooth lately. september has been a busy month with personal issues added to it, and not to forget about getting my taxes done.

oh those bloddy taxes. i am far from being a good bookkeeper, i really have to work on that. or invest in a software. any suggestions?

so, this wedding season was pretty much the year of steffis. i have four major steffis in my life, the first one being thomas’ sister. the 2nd one is my neighbour and good friend from hamburg.

the other two used to be my room mates. and their blog posts are coming up next. but since a blog post is always nicer with a photo, here is a preview of the second bride called steffi.
