This is meant to be my journal. My personal platform. Random and for sure uncensored.
My love for photography began at a young age and pursuing it as a career became a dream. Today, I am working hard to fulfill that dream.
This blog is my very own story, documenting the struggles, the joys, the hopes and the flaws of my journey. It is also very personal at times, better be aware. :)
I‘d be happy to take you along on that journey called life.

right before i left for my sister’s wedding in france, i was blessed to photograph a beautiful beach wedding at the baltic sea. there was a time when i dreamed of getting married at the beach of hawaii and since this hasn’t happened so far, i was thrilled when claudi and matze asked me if i would photograph their wedding. a beach wedding in august? OH YES! i was all in.

they had their civil wedding at the strandhaus in dänisch nienhof. a beautiful location and the best part: you can get married having your feet in the sand for real. in case you don’t know, civil weddings in germany have to be held underneath a roof to be legal, so civil outdoor weddings are rare.

as much as you cannot predict life, for sure you cannot predict german weather. and right when the ceremony was supposed to start, rain started pourring. claudi was so cool, she insisted on having their wedding outside. so we all tucked in underneath the gazebo and  it was quite an experience – for all of us.

Claudi and Matze, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your remarkable wedding! I wish you all the best and hope to team up again next year :)

i was very honored when my dear friend (and fellow photographer) nina asked me if i could take some photos of her. she needed new ones for her website (thanks for being on my site by the way, but please check out hers as well) and heck yeah! i was in. i met nina through my sister, all three of us happened to have signed up for the same english course. yep, my two year old younger sister and i attended the same course at university. that’s how far (and much further) i was behind with my studies. but that is a different story.

and now look at her! (i am back with nina’s story here.)  that smile is gorgeous. and i love that laughter! nina is such a fun person, very enthusiastic and with great spirit. and those green eyes? adorable.

and my favourites

thanks to ryan for his patience. and i was very lucky to get some shots of them together.

thanks nina for asking me to do this job. i had a lot of fun that hot april afternoon and i am glad we got the chance to hit that beautiful street! all you guys who wonder what street i am talking about: auf dem langen kampe. it’s the most beautiful street in bielefeld at that time of the year. my mama loved it and told EVERYONE to go there. seriously, everyone. it is completely lined up with japanes cherry trees and on that weekend they were in full blossom. that day i was helping my sisters boyfriend with moving into his new apartment before i was meeting nina. and his apartment happens to be a block from that street, who knows if i had thought of that spot if i didn’t pass it accidentally?! so i told nina we could take some photos in a street with “a couple of cherry trees”. okay, yes, i guess that was understated.

if you like to see more photos of that day, check out nina’s blog :)
